Christmas 2022
Like many newbie photographers, I’ve been learning by watching as many YouTube videos as possible. Recently I stumbled upon event photography videos and one of the most repeated tips is to practice at every family/friend event. So when the holidays came around, I decided to give it a try and below are the fruits of my labor.
Lessons I learned from my first event:
- I had a lot of fun
- I need a lot more practice with the camera settings
- It’s ok to use aperture (or shutter) priority instead of trying always to do manual
- You end up with a lot more crappy photos than you do good photos (I took 1,000+ photos on this day alone)
- My favorite photos are those I get when the person doesn’t know
- I plan on being the event photographer for every family event!
Family and love… what more could we need on Christmas?
